The most striking attraction when you come across the Mungerannie Pub is the isolation and the remoteness of it. But that is what bought us here. It is, after all, half way along the Birdsville track. It is a must see. A most welcoming and …
Stayed here for 2 nights at this outback pub and wasn’t disappointed, the rooms were clean and air-conditioned and the host was great . The food was pub grub but well worth the money , the sunset and sunrise were watching. Overall another great outback pub
Great pub with fantastic meals. A very surprising menu (slow cooked lamb ragout, beef cheeks, jambalaya to name a few). Lovely staff that make you feel very welcome. Definitely recommend staying here and enjoying the meals and hospitality!
Stopped here overnight in a hotel room, found the staff fantastic the food over delivered, ordered the beef cheeks, sensational the best I’ve eaten, cold drinks available and if you get a flat tyre that can be fixed.
Camping is available with showers and toilets open 24 hours.
You’ll find some great memorabilia on the walls.
Great stop midway Maree to Birdsville.
Congratulations to dazz and his team
The meals were fantastic. Rooms are bare minimum - no kettle or toaster. Showers are nice and hot. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
An iconic hotel situated on the Birdsville Track.
The sunrise/sunsets here are amazing.
You can either camp here, or stay in one of the small rooms.
Toilet and shower facilities are available if you're camping.
The beer was all in cans, but it was cheaper than some other less remote places I'd visited.
The food (only had dinner here) was pretty damn good.
You should expect the fuel to be expensive, but you'd be silly to think otherwise.
The new owner Darren (not that the last owner was bad) is great, the food was great. It's a classic outback pit stop that I reckon is illegal to drive past without stopping in. We pulled in for a few cold beverages and a meal and ended up staying for 2 days 😁👍👍🍻🇦🇺 Ya don't travel the Birdsville track to drive straight past Mungerannie hotel. Stop in and spend a couple of bucks and keep this iconic pub open.
In the vast expanse of the outback, this spot is nothing short of sensational. It's the kind of place that demands you pull over, kick back, and enjoy its unique vibe for a day or maybe even a tad longer.
